Video Clips & Scripts

Exploring Maryland's Roots has many brief video clips sprinkled throughout the site.

TEACHER TIPS:

  • To help you work with readers of all abilities, you may want to print out video transcripts and copy them for your students to use as they watch and listen to the videos. You may want to explain that some of the interpreters speak in a form of English that was common at the time.
  • Clips are brief (shorter than 3 minutes). They can be used to introduce an activity or pique interest in a particular topic.
  • Transcripts can be used as a source of information for students who are presenting research papers on topics related to colonial Maryland.
